Chronology
May 1947 Tomoe Yanase establishes Tomoe Co., Ltd. as a private company and begins sales of auto parts.
April 1950 The Company begins trading with the Kobe Works of Kawasaki Heavy Industries.
June 1951 The Company converts from a private business to an incorporated public company with \1 million in capital.
February 1956 The Company begins trading with Kobe Steel.
June 1957 The Company acquires Colombia Trading Company and begins wholesale sales in the Hokuriku, Shikoku and Sanin regions of Japan.
July 1964 The new headquarters building is completed.
April 1968 The Trading Department is established.
March 1974 The Trading Department is renamed the Industrial Machinery Department.
July 2002 The Auto Parts Department and Industrial Machinery Department are spun off as Tomoe Co., Ltd. and Tomoe System Inc., respectively.
November 2006 The Company acquires certification of ISO (JIS Q) 9001.
March 2007 The Company窶冱 60th Anniversary Ceremony is held at the Kobe Portopia Hotel.
  To commemorate its 60th anniversary, the Company donates wheelchairs to hospitals in Kobe.
